Excellent guide! It's so important people understand there's no such thing as 'getting a donkey'. It's always at least two donkeys! They're herd animals that find it stressful to be without a herd.

I breed American Mammoth Jackstock and I always have Himalayan salt on rope and Timothy hay in a net bag to prevent overeating. I give apple nuggets/wafers as treats. My feed mix consists of 10 pounds whole corn, 2 pounds beet pellets, and 50 pounds mini horse feed.

Here in Texas many female. Donkeys live and protect beef cattle from coyotes. They seem to get along fine.

This video should be copied and made in several languages! It's to the point and it covers all important topics related to their care. I live in Dominican Republic and there is a huge lack of education about animal care (not just donkeys) and it's very rare to see someone who cares for their donkeys properly as they tend to see them as a possession rather than a living thing with feelings and needs beyond food...
