I got alot more peace when my Thai wife ran away to a car salesman on the East Coast of the USA. I made a poor choice in Thai women, ignored the many red flags, didn't listen to my Bros, and went headlong into financial destruction thinking I had the most wonderful unicorn. I'm healed now after the Bankruptcy. Miss my boat. Had enough of Thailand and the many beautiful women there. I will try one of these cougars here, their English is better.

January of 2026 is my year to retire at 61. Thailand and Vietnam are my first two choice for that year, just keep doing border runs and enjoying both countries. Awesome video again Rob

I didn't follow the 'normal' track in coming here because I had lived in Brazil for 25 years before moving to Thailand. I didn't come from a broken relationship, and I was long past retired. Finished my master's degree in education when I was 60 and taught English for years but retired from that just before covid. I lived very comfortably in Brazil for just around 1000 USD a month. Medical is free there, but I usually went to private doctors. I never lived in the big cities like Rio but chose smaller beach towns and ended up in a smaller city in the mountains west of RJ for the last few years that I was there. I DID move to Thailand out of some boredom and the typical 'met a nice lady', but luckily for me I found gold. After a year, including giving my GF some $$$, I am still under one K USD a month. I live in Pattaya and have a rented two-bedroom three bath house in a very quiet area. I agree with Rob that finding things to do are important and that is one thing I carried with me from Brazil...my boredom. I am 75 and was, like Rob, an ex-Harley owner. I never rode in Brazil, but I broke down and bought a RE 350 Bullet recently and am loving it. Scared the hell out of myself a few times already, but I know it was one of the best things I could have done for myself. From one old Nam vet, I can definitely say Thailand has a difficult culture to blend into...South America was easy, Thailand is not...I doubt that I will ever get this language even to a conversational level. I can also definitely say that the Thai people are wonderful. I haven't spoken face to face, with a farang since being here, but that is by choice. I didn't have any 'gringo' friends in Brazil either. My only advice is to listen to Rob's videos very carefully and buy his book. Maybe "Thai Talk with Dan" too if you are considering coming here. If you do come and hook up with a lady, keep your finances to yourself and her hands out of your pockets. Even if she 'checks every box' like Rob has said. I wish I could post a photo here of my day at the floating market yesterday. It would give y'all a good laugh. Peace.

Great video. I am single never married/no kids. I have a Custom Lamborghini Orange 2022 Honda ADV 150; I can drive my bike to the beach in 5 minuets. I am loving life. I have a Condo in Pattaya Thailand the rent is only $207 + elec & water $105 = $312/month, (I have a video of the Condo, it has photos of my bike near the end)😀

I agree with you about when they ask permission. It caught me off guard the first time it happened to me. It is very polite and nice of them and they do it because it is what has been shown to them. Same as I say sir and ma'am since I was raised in the south. Very normal. Also, if they are wearing a skirt, I have been asked if I was ok with it or it looked bad for them to wear. Very refreshing really. I also find myself respecting them and what they think about what I am doing/wearing. So it seems to cause the same respect to be given back. Pretty nice if you ask me. I like it here. I live in Chiang Rai currently.

Now that I'm almost 60 I think about peace all the time. I'm too busy, just running around taking care of things as best I can and going wayyy too far by working two full time jobs most of the year.

But when I go to Thailand with my wife it's great. I don't have those expectations, I can just chill out and enjoy the time.

Rob ridding and racing motorcycles has always been a big part of my life. Due to import laws, I’ll have to buy a bike there versus importing. The hardest part will be deciding on what type of motorcycle to buy there. Can’t have enough bikes 555
