I am a resident of Kyiv, and I can say that, unfortunately, in recent years the metro has not only not been built, it has begun to shrink. This is due to an accident on the blue line of the metro due to inadequate maintenance of the metro tunnels, as a result of which six stations are closed indefinitely...

P.S. Finally, after just under nine months, the damaged section of the metro was restored and opened on September 12th!

Like many systems in the post USSR the Kiev metro is very deep in the center and has a triangle transfer in the center just like with Saint Petersburg and Moscow in the 40s

Before they planned sky-blue line 5 Levoberezhnaya which seemed like a wise idea as city on the eastern bank of Dnipro is densely populated, stretched and narrow, perfect for metro line, but I guess it's no longer considered

Great video, even as a Kyivan, I wasn't even aware of stations like Hertsena (aka Zahorivska) or Berkovets. The M6 is unlikely due to the City Circle line now under development as a part of Kyiv City Express projects. The M5, which is suppoed to run along the left bank alongside the planned Kyiv City Express lines (S-Bahn), which also makes it slightly inefficient. I also noticed in your video that the stations at the end of the M4 in Troyeschyna-Vyhurivschyna are slightly different to most plans I saw on the web. What sources did you use when doing that line on the map?

Після 2013 метро взагалі ніяк не розвивалось, і тут навіть причина не у війні в 2014 а в "прекрасному" мері який так не любить чомусь розвивати метрополітен, дай Бог при новому мері метрополітен почне знову розвиватися а не деградувати що відбувається останнім часом
