In this demo, I demonstrate how to use Python and OpenCV to read frames from my Raspberry Pi camera module. Using this method you can read a video stream, frame by frame, using your Raspberry Pi, the Python programming language, and the OpenCV computer vision and image processing library.

hello Adrian,
first of all you are making great jobs. thanks for your sharings. i have just started playin with raspi 3. today i made my own face detection thanks to your blog. my question is abot the fps. when i connect my cheap webcam and give the resolution more then 320*240 the fps is getting too low. i thought that it is because of my cheap webcam and i downloaded some videos from the internet and tried them out. the videos are getting slow i mean fps is decreasin. i tried to open the videos with a video player they are ok fast. but with pyton+opencv with reolution more then 320*240 problem. could you please help me?
