This video would have been better if you'd shown a PC NOT in the HomeGroup getting to the material you just shared and what that interface looks like, etc.

cool video! question: im going to be getting a main desktop pc for my room. and then maybe maybe a laptop. can you specify which folders to share in homegroup? for example if i wanted to share a folder thats not in the "libraries" such as the Downloads folder...is that possible?

[SOLVED] I have three computers, all using Microsoft Security Essentials' firewall and NONE of them could see the other.

I've had the same model router for 5 years, Verizon's favorite, it's the actiontec mi424wr. Homegroup never worked until last night. All I did was make one change. I changed my "network" setting, in the "advanced security settings" area under "other advanced wireless options" from "network (home/office)" to "broadband connection". I changed nothing else.

A homegroup is specifically designed to allow people to stream audio/video as well as sharing documents. Maybe you should quit being so mean and actually have some respect for people.
