Trick - How to use Electrical Tape in a narrow place

I want to share with you a simple trick that I have been using for many years. This trick will help you Wrap an electrical wire in a narrow and crowded place where an Electrical tape cylinder cannot fit.

You didn’t stretch the tape as you wrapped it. That’s what helps it seal and a critical step for protecting an electrical connection from moisture

That method looks a lot better than what i have tried, thumbs up

Never touch the sticky side, always cut with scissors and stretch the tape. That may look okay on camera but will dry and fall apart.

I have what you have similar with bare copper electrical wire Coming out Out of an outlet. Can I wrap it in electrical tape along with the outlet which has a box but no front cover?

At first I was like hell no, finger oils yada yada, but in reality I'll probably use this method bc I'm definitely not wasting money on shrink wrap. 🤣

Cool little trick but one problem I see is the oils in your skin will cause the tape not to stick as well as it could. Try talking a small little bolt to wrap the tape around and twist the bolt
Instead of using your fingers. Or I keep the rolls that are almost out for the same reason they are a little bigger but they are still smaller then a normal full roll. Or
You can also
Use liquid electrical tape and paint it on. It has to dry but will also
Allow you to seal up a connection in a tight spot.

nah I'll just use liquid electrical tape. it would take more time to cure like 5 min per wire. but it would be waterproof and weather proof
