The fact that they started the season off at the very bottom of the entire league, then improved, then went on a SIXTEEN GAME winning streak, then made the playoffs, then beat L.A., then, against the oddsmakers beat VAN... then they (almost every sports 'analyst' and the entire DAL fanbase) said the Oilers would get swept in 4.... Here they are, 60 minutes away from the Stanley Cup Final round. No matter WHAT happens at this point, the OILERS have already WON and nobody can diminish that.

Considering the way the season started ..this is simply amazing ...IF they in fact win this series and go to the finals (even without a Cup win) this would be one of biggest turn arounds within a season in NHL history ..not mention they the coaching change and the fact the team could afford to make any big moves (other then firing the coach) roster wise....IF they actually win the Cup Knoblauch has to be AT LEAST considered for coach of year heck even making it to the finals should get SERIOUS consideration ...considered the state of the team when took over ...which at that point just making the last spot in the playoffs was long shot at the time
