Pokemon cards investing is buying sealed boxes. They have always outperformed singles. And will keep doing so. Just simple maths.

Lets look at an 100$ boosterbox out of 2014, there where 4 different xy released. Most of these boxes are not even available anymore. Prices of sales are easy 2000$.

With 2012 even better. Black and white boosterboxes. Easily getting you 3-4k.

Legos are heavy and that shipping will add up where as pocket monsters are light as hell

Pokémon go up in value when famous people get into them(like Logan Paul) so he decided Pokémon was the new thing so when they get graded they go up in value by like 120%

If you trying to collect the old pokemon cards, trust me, lego will be way cheaper. But if you just trying to have the nowdays pokemon cards then pokemon cards are cheaper.

It's a win on both sides but I think Lego is a more stable return.
The Lego set even with a rerelease will still hold a good value. Even if you open the set your still getting more then retail.

Pokemon cards take a chance on the single condition when being graded. Reprints hurt the value. Pokemon prints more copies then Lego makes sets especially in the last year. You have to invest more money to have the card graded which is in addition cost. Now compared to storage cards are easier to store and ship when selling.

Regardless Lego sets are a better investment, though you won't get a better return it is safer since there are less factors making less valuable.
