I love the Ultra series. IMHO, it's the only Fender model that represents what a modern Strat should be. :D

I think it's an amazing guitar, I never owned it, had other Fender models, but I know it is very very good. Depends how you feel after playing it. It's amazing you were able to play that good on a guitar from the store, they are usually setup really weird, with high action and poor intonation, the neck is front-bowed a lot and the strings are super dry. Only after you take it home and give it a proper setup, then it really plays the way it should.

Honest question (and I am a Fender fan myself), Would you choose this Ultra II or a Schecter MV-6? Because for me, the choice is very clear...
