When I read this play, I was first interested in the aesthetics and mysterious philosophical aspects of Darius’ Ghost. And accepting the character as being reality. Then I discovered the tragedy when I realized that Empress Atossa was maybe already suffering from hallucinations and that her mental health had been so affected….
