A Bit About MoAn Inc. -
Trust me, the ancient world isn’t as boring as you may think. In this video, I'll be talking you through the basic plot of The Persians: seeing the war through the eyes of the "enemy" and how Aeschylus continues to leave us all in tears, faced with the true horrors of conflict.

I absolutely love your point when you said that Aeschylus' the Persians acts as a window into the sympathy behind the Achaemenid Empire, enabling the Greeks to sympathise with the Persians over grief. MoAn you are incredible, and make such a difference to my Classics studies!

So I come from a near-100% math background for god knows how long, and I've recently got my hands on "The Great Books of the Western World" collection just to try to expand and appreciate new things. Your channel and videos really, REALLY help me achieve this. Subscribed!

When I read this play, I was first interested in the aesthetics and mysterious philosophical aspects of Darius’ Ghost. And accepting the character as being reality. Then I discovered the tragedy when I realized that Empress Atossa was maybe already suffering from hallucinations and that her mental health had been so affected…. Thank you so much for you enthusiasm. You rocked the mic. Loved your talk show. Did you see Niki Minaj on the cover of Vogue?

As far as I am aware, Aeschylus fought in the battle of Plataea, the final battle of the Persian Wars

I assume your laughter is an emotionally triggered reaction. I too get emotional when reading the classics. I really haven't examined it, but it is curious why.
