HOMBRE Review

This is my review of a lost treasure of a movie. Released in 1967, HOMBRE is the story of a white man raised as an Apache who becomes a reluctant hero. When a stagecoach full of strangers are held up and left for dead, John Russell puts his Winchester rifle to use in this highly entertaining western/drama.

Stars Paul Newman and Richard Boone.

Directed by Martin Ritt.

Distributed by 20th Century Fox.

I'm thinking of watching Hombre and wanted to check a review before. 7.6 in IMBD is pretty high.

I think Paul Newman is not that good at comedy, but he can pull off cynical and stoic really good like in this movie. I saw it in ‘67 when I was ten after a friend raved about Newman bashing David Canary in the face with his rifle.
