What a week! Blue sky, a gentle breeze, and unseasonably warm weather. So I took advantage of the lovely conditions to conduct a quick survey of the backyard to see what, if anything, needs to be done before summer.

And after a quick survey, I'm confident we can complete all the spring chores before next winter.

You MUST have ADD! 😂 I get the heebie-jeebies just thinking of all I want to do for this year’s garden …and then collapse under the weight of it all. Best wishes!

the good news is that leaving all of that until the weather gets warmer is better for the bees and butterflies that are using all the stuff to survive until the weather warms up! Be a friend to them and leave it until its warmer at night

ADHD is the bane of my garden. I can either be consistent at the start of the season or the end, but not the whole season apparently

if you put all the sticks in a raised bed, pile all the leaves on, then walk away, maybe a bumblebee will make her home? @jessegreywolf is correct, the longer you can tolerate the piles of leaves & branches, the more spring insects who are likely wintering over have to hatch out and start doing their spring stuff!

You've got your work cut out for you, and I'd be glad to help.

&/or go out to weed a specific area (50 sq ft area) so you can get the transplants in the ground… and end up weeding the entire garden (250 sq ft area). Only at the end of the weeding, now you are too thirsty, hot & tired to get the transplants in.
Edit - added zeros... apparently I wasn't thinking clearly when I posted my original comment
(How many points do I get for that?!)
