Correct, it is not possible for XRP to have significantly different prices on a private ledger versus the public XRP Ledger (XRPL) in a way that would not be immediately visible and actionable by market participants. Here's why:

Market Dynamics: XRP's price is determined by supply and demand on public exchanges. Any significant price difference would create an opportunity for arbitrage, where traders could buy at the lower price and sell at the higher price, quickly equalizing the price.

Transparency: The public ledger is transparent, allowing anyone to see transactions and balances. While private ledgers may offer privacy for transaction details, the overall supply and distribution of XRP remain visible.

Consensus Mechanism: The XRP Ledger uses a distributed consensus mechanism, which ensures that all nodes agree on the state of the ledger. This makes it difficult to maintain a separate, inconsistent price without being detected.

Lack of Evidence: There is no credible evidence supporting the existence of a significantly different XRP price on private ledgers. Such claims are often speculative or based on misinformation.
