Israeli practice of collective punishment for home demolitions in the West Bank

Israeli soldiers have carried out a home demolition in a refugee camp northwest of Ramallah, in the Occupied West Bank. The house belonged to a 41-year-old Palestinian man accused of killing an Israeli soldier at a checkpoint earlier this year. He was shot and killed in the incident. Israel has demolished 932 civilian structures so far this year. 180 of them, as punitive measures—a violation of international law.

Al Jazeera’s Zein Basravi reports from Deir Ammar refugee camp in the occupied west bank.

Just to say “ this is nothing compared to Gaza “ is a prescriptive that should humble everyone. Her husband died and she is sitting in the rubble of what’s left of her house yet she still realizes there is more suffering going on. And we get upset when our food order is 10 mins late. We don’t have the slightest clue of what patience really is.😢

United Nations definition of ethnic cleansing is _"rendering an area ethnically homogeneous by using force or intimidation to remove from a given area persons of another ethnic or religious group."_

I’m trying hard to ensure that my anger doesn’t turn to hate. But it’s a struggle.

The majority of Israelis are in favour of these IDF actions in the West Bank and in Gaza which says a lot about the Jewish state.

In Gaza's sunsets, shadows dance,
A tale unfolds, a people's trance.
Through smoke and rubble, a daily test,
The heart of Gaza, in pain, dressed.

Water, a treasure, now a distant dream,
Wells crumble, and rivers scream.
Desolation in the arid air,
A million souls in deep despair.

A hunger's cry, the land replies,
Fields ablaze, beneath fiery skies.
A dance of death on market streets,
As Gaza's heartbeat skips, then beats.

Homes shattered, dreams on hold,
In crowded shelters, stories untold.
Walls echo with a displaced prayer,
Hope flickers in the midnight air.

In the realm of health, a system's plea,
Wounded souls, a desperate sea.
Medicines sought in vain embrace,
A silent plea for healing grace.

Children's laughter silenced by the blast,
Innocence lost, memories cast.
Yet 'neath the weight of trauma's might,
Gazan spirits rise to the fight.

Fear, a constant, unwelcome guest,
In every heartbeat, in every chest.
Yet through the dark, a courage gleams,
Defying nightmares, chasing dreams.

A community's strength, a unity's song,
In the face of despair, they stand strong.
Sharing burdens, hopes, and fears,
Gaza's resilience, through the tears.

In the silence of the blockade's night,
Faith stands tall, a beacon of light.
In the face of adversity, a spirit unbroken,
Gazan hearts, with words unspoken.

In Gaza's tale, a resilience profound,
A symphony of survival, a heartbeat's sound.
May the world hear, may compassion flow,
For the people of Gaza, let empathy grow.

Can’t imagine how Israelis can do such extreme levels of oppression against humanity. You can see what they’re doing in west bank even there is no hamas and what they’re doing against Palestinians children and women and all other Palestinians prisoners in their captivity. This is the suffering Palestinians are going through on daily basis for past 75 years to defend their motherland and masjid aqsa.
