My friend has won 14 games in a row doing bruiser umbral. It isn't anywhere on blitz moba or ur website. How??

I'm being insanely out scaled by people one tricking sage lilla, i won like 15 games in a row with her, and got to emerald 2 then went back to 5 0 lp, changing nothing about my comps along the way, is that just unlucky or did i just not adjust quick enough?

I was able to win/flex easily into snipers, dueslist, invokers, umbral, Fated. But once i hit diamond 4 i just get shit on crazy, against comps i dont even understand.
I feel like im lacking a critical part of the game.
If anyone has advice im all ears.
-im usually the first to lvl 8&9 (16/20 games i hit 9)
- i almost never roll my shop until lvl8(maybe 2 rolls before 8)
- i avoid contesting comps like the plague(unless it just hands it to me)
-probably 3/4 of my games im at 90+ health by wolves, 75+ by chickens. (Then nose dive to 4th/6th)
- i used to get only 1st or 8th, now i only get 3-6th
- i do be holding onto items, until i hit my first real carry. (I hate building AD n getting 4cost AP champs later)
- augments. Im good at picking once i know my team, but the 1st one or 2nd usually leave at a…wtf do i do
