They're in a waterproof housing and it makes them submersible. The LEDs are nice because they make great replacements for incandescent lights. They'll last 50 times longer. They're more efficient, they'll provide brighter light with less power output and, of course, no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments to break, and they give you a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. They are durable, polycarbonate lenses and housings.
That is a clear lens you can see, that's over a red LED and these are compatible with 12 volt DC systems. They are a recessed mount, comes with the black grommets right here, and it will require a three quarter inch diameter hole for each light to fit into. It does use a two-wire molded harness, which includes a white ground wire and a black power wire. This is a PC rated light, which produces 180 degree beam pattern, and these are DOT compliant.Again, the application for these are trailers over 80 inches wide. It is for a quantity of three red lights. The lights themselves are three quarter inch diameter and about seven eights of an inch deep.
The harness length on this is about 29 inches and it is one led per light. Power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.022 amps. The last thing I want to do is hook this up to some 12 volt power, just to show you how bright they are. We'll take our two wires, we'll hook up our black power wire, and then we'll hook up our white ground wire. With those both hooked up, you can see the red lights, or LEDs, come on.
I'm going to go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and there you can see, here's your three red LED identification lights. Very bright. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights and we'll go ahead and disconnect our power. That should do it for the review on this mini red LED identification light kit for trailers.
