I get rid of my mushrooms with egg and bacon and two slices of toast and a cup of tea first thing in the morning

I actually just pulled up some huge mushrooms 🍄‼️
They were almost the size of a dinner plate! That grass looks fantastic in that area!
I heard cinnamon works to keep the spores down. This is the second time I’ve picked them in less than two weeks!
Trying cinnamon this time around.

I just kick them over if big, bin those and mow normally. In 14 years I've seen them appear 3 times and they easily fade away. Like you say it seems with the perfect conditions they can just appear, can be quite a worrying site at first.

Daniel
Am putting mine down to Jack's Magic used on my lawn late last year. Why, because we used as potting compost and yes we have mushrooms growing in some pots!

I have more mushrooms in the rear lawn where the organic content in the soil is higher (CEC) compared to the front lawns which have several inches of sandy loam. I just mow them, no issues.

Hi Daniel here in Canada we get the same . I just mulch them back into the grass for extra nutrients. Then bag the next cut.

Tree roots are a good one for producing mushrooms as they break down. Just a sign of lots of organic material breaking down under the surface, i just mow them and move on.

Hi Dan. I’m not far from you and had a massive amount of yellow toadstools a few years ago. They were clustered together so densely you couldn’t see the grass so I dug out the area. Since then I have the same toadstools you had here and so now I just lift them off individually, taking care to not disturb the head to avoid spreading spores. I’ve learned that if you notice one toadstool, there will be others. They seem to appear together about 4 times a year, making it easier to deal with and I always get rid of them immediately as I have dogs.

In a lawn of less than 150sq m this is quite doable, but I understand that my approach is not for you! 🍄

I sit for ages on the lawn pulling them out between thumb and forefinger. I get a bit of root like material at the bottom of I'm gentle enough. Whether or not I prove anything is anyone's guess.

Just mow em up and the fact I’ve got them means I’m following in your footsteps Dan 😂

I get them in my backyard where that lawn isn't as lush compared to my small front yard that is crazy lush yet no shrooms.
