His low scream, ‘Heaven shall burn”, like that scream at the end of ‘Heaven in Hiding’…. Makes my hair stand on end every time. Hitting some crazy vibration/frequency that smashes some chord deep within me. Freaky. Visceral. Haunting. Sorrowful. Desperate. But also somehow absolutely brings this feeling back of having conquered something so deep and dark within your soul. Almost like looking back on your journey through the Dark Night of the Soul, just as you’re crawling out. Exhausted, ripped apart but reborn and alive. Eddie flippen paints stories with every note he breaths or plays. Insane the trip he can take you on. ❤
