Cincinnati Museum Center's Omnimax Theater Renovation Time-lapse

Показать описание
The OMNIMAX Theater makeover started in August with the removal of the old seats and carpeting. Then the theater was filled with scaffolding creating an elevated working surface from which the old dome skin was removed and replaced in a seven-week white-glove process. The 371 individual dome panels are made from perforated aluminum with a powder coated surface that is closer to black than white. The perforations are too small to be visible from the seats, but allow for spectacular sound to pass through. The seams between the panels totally disappear during projection creating the illusion that “you are there”.
