■ DUBAI INVESTMENT PARK:
Dubai Investments Park (DIP), including Dubai Investment Park 1 (to the west) and Dubai Investment Park 2 (to the east), is a business park area in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, including commercial, and industrial, and residential development. The Green Community Village and Green Community East are to the north and Dunes Village is to the northeast. DIP was established in 1997.

Dubai Investments Park covers an area of 2,300 hectares. Greenfield International School, a private international school established in 2007, is located here.

The Dubai Investment Park metro station in the Green Community Village area is on the Route 2020 branch line of the Dubai Metro to the Expo 2020 site immediately to the south of Dubai Investment Park, across Expo Road (E77). To the west is the Jebel Ali Industrial Area, across the E311 road, and to the southwest is the Jebel Ali Free Zone Extension.

The development includes the Lagoons, under development by Schön Properties since 2005; Schön's assets were seized by the Dubai Real Estate Regulatory Agency in August 2018 over the company's failure to complete the development.

■ JEBEL ALI FREE ZONE (JAFZA):
Jebel Ali Free Zone is a free economic zone located in the Jebel Ali area at the far western end of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, near Abu Dhabi. Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) is the flagship free zone of DP World, and is an integral part of the DP World UAE’s integrated business hub. Created under a Ruler's Decree, Jafza commenced operations in 1985 with only 19 companies offering standard size office units and warehouses to provide ready built facilities to customers. In 1990 Jafza expanded its facilities to include light industrial units.

As of 2023, Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) hosts over 9,500 companies and is considered the world's leading free zone. The Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) is a free zone and a community. Businesses in industries such as logistics, electronics & electrical, automotive, food and agriculture, e-commerce, petrochemicals, and many more are based in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza).

Its proximity to Jebel Ali Port, Al Maktoum International Airport, and the Expo 2020 Dubai site has helped it become a hub for global trade and a well-integrated business setup solution provider. More than 9,500 global companies are based in Jafza. Jafza accounts for almost 32% of total FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) flow into the country. The free zone contributes 21% of Dubai's GDP on a yearly basis and it sustains the employment of more than 144,000 people in the United Arab Emirates. In 2015, Jafza generated trade worth $87.6 billion.

■ JEBEL ALI INDUSTRIAL AREA (JAIA):
Jebel Ali Industrial Area is one of Dubai's oldest industrial districts. It is located east of the Port of Jebel Ali, south of Jebel Ali Village, west of Dubai Investments Park, and north of the Jebel Ali Free Zone Extension. There have been a number of industrial fires in the area.
