Universal Audio UAFX Starlight Echo Station

I bought this pedal entirely based off of a Reddit user's 'NPD' post! 😄

He gave a long, detailed write-up about the pedal, as well as telling about his journey to find the "perfect" board replacement for his original, big box, Deluxe Memory Man, and how this pedal's 'Analog DMM' mode was an absolutely spot-on emulation. Once I read that, I knew I had to have one.

The Starlight Echo Station is one of the best sounding, digital delay pedals on the market, but it's also incredibly simple to use, and the only menu-diving involved is entirely optional, via Bluetooth. So I think this is aimed squarely at those who demand the highest quality delays, but who also have an aversion to complex, digital pedals...

...because of the demographic this pedal caters to, many may find it limiting, or lacking essential features - especially considering the other, high-end delay pedals available at this price point!

Other potential downsides include the large size, awkward shape, the weight, and of course the price. However, beyond those "flaws", it's really hard to find a reason not to absolutely adore this thing...particularly while you're playing it.

Wouldnt it have been easier to do a demo of what it cant do? Seriously versitile bit of kit you have here. VERY impressed!

Thanks for the video. One thing you got wrong though: if you press the "on" button to get out of preset mode, instead of doing the long press on the preset button, you will seamlessly go into the live mode while retaining the tails of the preset mode like you wanted.

Wonderful demo. Amazing pedal. These are actually on sale in the US right now for 319 (pretty rad considering they retail at 399).

Universal Audio is the most conservative effects out there. Even Strymon effects sound avante garde in comparison. If I spend 400 dollars on a pedal, I want it to go into weird territory.
There is nothing weird, aside from sounding really good, in UA.
That being said, there is no denying the Starlight sounds incredible. If I had one, I'd be pretty happy with it.

After showing it's Many 'strengths', you end with not wanting this amazing delay. Confusing.

Its nice but i think i still prefer the Belle Epoch Deluxe by comparison.
