This 420SEL is in superior condition. The underbody of the car is impressively clean and original. Factory undercoating and anodization are present in places. Floor pans or solid and free of corrosion. Suspension, brake components (including lines), and exhaust components are solid. The engine shows no signs of leaking and all service is up to date. The engine pulls strongly throughout the rev range and the transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. The suspension delivers a comfortable but controlled ride, and there are no strange sounds in any part of the driving experience.

The interior is impressive, with nearly no imperfections and only the most modest signs of use throughout. Wood laminate trim is uniform in finish and wood stain as well as free of any cracks. The dash pad is in like-new condition. All interior electronics work as designed. Leather seating surfaces are in excellent condition, clean, and without any rips, stains, or tears.
