HOI4 Timelapse - What if a fascist Argentina united South America and joined the Axis?

This is my longest scenario so far, 19 years of ingame time, and it took over 7 hours to record. But I must say this is perhaps one of the more interesting scenarios I have seen, where a lot of random things happened, and the AI was actually pretty smart.

Really strange and cool how Germany somehow adopted mainland Japan. Don't really know how that happened, but perhaps they were at war shortly before they surrendered. Still really amazing to see how the AI used it to invade Korea, and as a base of operation in Asia, until they were able to connect the frontline with Europe after the fall of the Soviet Union. Also impressive how the AI was able to do so many naval invasions at the same time by the end of the war, when they had naval superiority and thousands of divisions.

the UK stalled in the Amazon was kind of like an early Vietnam for the Allies. Just completely locked in, likely suffering massive attrition damage wondering why the trees spoke Spanish.

This is perfect. Because if I recall, I'm fairly certain a united South America has a population on the over ~70 million. Then the 5% and 2% recruit-able bonuses from fascist side of generic focus tree... already a free 4-5 million, on top of conscription law!

Not to mention Argentine League diverts the Allies attention, and when the Allies invaded north they were forced to traverse through the Amazon... which usually has 0-infra unless you invest in infra or your infrastructure focuses add some to it. The Axis took the win when they capitulated the Soviets. Not to mention Argentine League is a good jumping off point to invade the United States. So... this was satisfying!

To think if only Japan had invaded the USSR by 1944 this run would've been much shorter, all of that just so Manchuria would get invaded by the allies by 1950 and force Japan out of the war.

The problem of S.A. is that the continent is way to underpowered, historically speaking. It's almost impossible to play as any S. American country against the Allies, because you are extremely dependent on the N. American resources, despite the region being extremely rich IRL.

Their weaknesses at the time were basically related to industry, not resources. Also, the lack of a proper focus tree for at least the Big 4 of SA makes it weaker
