Exact cause of fire?? I'll give you one guess. This is so typical of so many historic buildings here in LA, they are neglected, never renovated and then of course it is filled with homeless squatters that inevitably burn it down due to cooking and warming fires. The city has no sense of history, civic pride or responsibility. Instead of maintaining these buildings and neighborhoods so people would want to live there, all they can think to do is make the buildings into low income housing or homeless shelters which further devalues and degrades the neighborhood chasing away any potential buyers or business owners.A vicious cycle that is increasingly destroying a once beautiful city. Pathetic!

The US is in a steady decline. Regardless of what city you’re in the amount of abandoned buildings and factories is staggering. Every one of them represents jobs, prosperity and tax base loss. That just puts the squeeze on the remaining tax paying public. And we all know government will never tighten their belt and try to make do with less. It’s only a matter of time before total collapse.

Yep it was vacant but homeless people stayed there and the government and police officers didn't aresst the homeless people for staying there and if the electricity was turned off and no water was left on it was a matter of time before someone gut wires to assess their own electricity and then fire. 💥🔥😊

Holy sh!t, I recently posted a story of this hotel with caption “who wants to go ghost hunting with me here?” Bc it looked super scary and abandoned.. I can’t believe there were actually ppl living inside that’s insanely scary cuz it looked and sounded completely empty
