How to add springs in assembly

For those with issues, try starting a new assembly, insert the spring and make it flexible, then bring in everything else. Worked for me.

It looks like just one of your springs is an assembly of many different parts. Is is still possible to make a spring move in an assembly when it is only one single part?

Is that because the spring is constant pitch? I having the same issue too. Should I try with a variable pitch spring instead? tq

I am trying to do this in my assembly as well but could not get it to work. I am making a manual transmission; the assembly file as a lot of parts. Inserting the parts after inserting the spring would be too much work.

Why did you have so many segments of the spring? can you not use a continues helix swept?

Great video. But i have a problem:
When i take the assembly in which i've created the coincidence relationship between the spring length point and the spring mount surface, and put that assembly in another assembly, the spring stops changing length.
Do you know any solution?

In the educational version, we don't have the option of making components flexible. At least not the one I have been provided with from my college.
