Giving the Passengers a negative review feels wrong because I feel like I’m just missing something but I couldn’t lie. It just DIDNT grab me.

It's a shame that book reviews do not do well. It's how I found you. I also discovered my favorite series, the First Law, via your recommendation.

Hey Daniel. I normally don't really comment, but I just wanted to say I'm so happy you chose for this format. I don't really have an opinion on the script vs. non-script yet, but I love that you're not stepping away from book reviews. Books I read in Month X always inspires me in what to read next. Keep them up!

I actually really like bulk reviews like this because I’m someone who doesn’t really click on singular reviews for things I haven’t read/watched unless I am ACTIVELY questioning if they’re worth reading/watching. But with this I can get relatively concise reviews for a bunch of things and will be more likely to find new stuff or get them on my radar.

monthly wrap up! I appreciate that you're trying a different approach to reviewing books. They might not work very well, but that's how many of us found your channel. Personally, book reviews are what interests me most, but I understand that your livelihood relies on videos that make larger numbers. Let's hope that this format works for you because I love it!

I'm happy that you refuse to let book reviews die because that was why I started watching you. When I was coming back to reading fantasy after a long time away, you led me to some really good stuff.

I'm in my early thirties and your channel has helped me create a reading habit that I've stuck to for the past 2 years and I can't thank you enough.

The last book I properly read before I found your channel was probably Captain Underpants when I was 8.

Now I can't stop reading and I can't stop buying books. Your books are sitting on my TBR shelf and I've just completed the Mistborn Trilogy with The First Law Trilogy ready to go next. I can't wait.

I hope your book reviews don't die off.

loved the new format, I think your scripting is good, really clear and concise without feeling robotic at all. The only improvement i could suggest is this; it seemed like you were looking off to the side slightly to read your script - is it possible to display the script for yourself closer to the camera? Other than that, just really glad to hear your takes on some great books. Love what you do.

I’m writing this just to let you know that you sparked my obsession with fantasy and I am really glad to see you coming back to do some reviews. I love so much of what you make, but your reviews hold a special place in my heart. I truly hope you keep this going, even if the algorithm doesn’t want you to.
Much love from Ireland ❤

“Where my soul resides” lol. But gives me a cool video idea for you: if you had to choose 7 of your possessions as your 7 horcruxes to house your soul (let’s forget the dark arts / murder aspect for now) which would you choose? Basically your 7 most prized possessions that also tell a lot about you

Sadly, you were absolutely right about Eisenhorn. Warhammer books are a triumph of style above substance, sub products that may be enjoyed by fans, but rarely can compete in quality terms with books outside their trademark.
But.
What if I tell you that there ARE Warhammer books that can stand by their own?
Would you be interested in read...Requiem Infernal, by Peter Feheravari?

Love the Blame! coverage. Your feelings and thoughts on it mirror my own on first read: "I don't understand what's going on but it's fascinating and I want to know more!"

Been a slow month for me:
How to Win Friends and Influence People -Dale Carnegie
12 Rules for Life -Jordan Peterson
Deadliest Seas -Kalee Thompson
The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt -Edmund Morris

Wow that’s a lot of dry books. Need more fun.

Loved the video and the script way of doing things. Only I would like to throw out there an idea, maybe put your script under the camera or get one of those prompter things in order to keep the effect of talking to me directly :))

I haven't read too many Warhammer books, but I found books that revolve around a singular character much more interesting especially when other factions in the universe and how they relate to the character. Most of these character novels are one-offs but tell stories that are good examples of who they are in that time period. If I had to recommend any they would be...

Ghazghkull Thraka: Prophet of the Waaagh! (Very good depiction of how Orcs work in Warhammer)
Alpharius: Head of the Hydra (One of the Primarchs, told from their pov from before the Horus Heresy)

Your book reviews are what brought me to you and will keep me coming back. Thank you for continuing to do them. Also, I enjoy when you show off the cover art/edition that you are holding or have read. Lastly, please keep adding in a classic book review. Meme pick or not, I love that you reviewed 1984. Thank you for continuing to make great content.

Your issues with the Eisenhorn trilogy are understandable, and this is coming from someone who is a big fan of those books. However I think Dan Abnett addresses those issues you had with the other cast members in the Ravenor trilogy, as a lot more time is spent on them and their interactions within the retinue as well as their collective relationship with Ravenor. For context Ravenor is Eisenhorn’s protege, and is introduced in either the second or third book of the trilogy.
