This is excellent news. We've been in an asset bubble for at least five years driven by credit and loans. Watching people in my income bracket live like rich people but hearing that credit requirements are much tighter since GFC has been hurting my brain - I keep thinking - that doesn't mean all loans are good! We have needed loans to be rejected to put a cap on insane home and car prices.

It's tough today. I have a 700 plus rate, and the bank wanted both me and my husband on loan. The problem is today prices for cars are double what car prices used to be. I was putting 6k down as well and got rejected by several banks. I never was ever rejected in my life time

Just got a $140k home equity line (did not really need it) for possible real estate opportunities, and AMEX and my bank credit card keeps raising my limits. Fortunately I have no mortgage or credit card debt and don’t intend on having any balances in the near future.
