Mars' air is exceedingly thin, has insufficient oxygen, and is highly poisonous (It has too much carbon dioxide). Only by wearing a pressurized spacesuit and bringing their own oxygen would humanity be able to breathe on Mars. Without a spacesuit, a human on Mars would pass out in 30 seconds and die in a minute or two. Their lungs would fill up once, but exhaling would be difficult due to the pressure difference between human lungs and Martian air. I don't know, but they do manage to fly a helicopter drone, so there must be some kind of atmosphere to support lift. Is there some kind of deception going on, or was Mars wrecked at some point in the past.
