My god I miss New York. One of my favourite times in NYC was walking to the W on Lexington from 14th Street at 4 am .. and being outside the Library and Grand Central as the sun was rising and I swear I was the ONLY person out and about/awake at that time!

That's something I always loved to do back in my army days. I'd get earlier than the rest of the city I was stationed at and would just walk around and watch the city wake up. To see early morning delivery of the newspapers, merchants getting ready for a busy day, everything was magical. The sounds, the sights and the smells, were all different somehow.
