In the recent lockdowns many have been asking my opinion on these launch monitor devices and now we have one that may just tick all the boxes at the right price.

I watched the engineers from Garmin test this doppler launch monitor every week for 4 months at my home course in Kansas City … fascinating to see the days they had break throughs’ in quality and repeatability … but even more interesting to see the days it failed and how they set about reconfiguring or programming it right there at the range …

great video, i bought one of these a couple months back. perform the 3.6 update available, it improves the accuracy a hell of a lot; also the free E6 Range is a lot more accurate than home tee hero.

Interesting review. A great price point for the average golfer and the key data like distance is spot on. Nice to see Lee again.

The Garmin distance appeared to be right on. When using it on a real driving range the variance in ball path, fade, cut, etc., isn't an issue since you can see your ball flight. This seems like a great choice for the average golfer who can't spend over a thousand dollars on a tracker. Good review, I was impressed at the Garmin's overall accuracy.

A laser line to set the ball up would be a handy addition, looks good for me as I only really want to know my distances

I'd get one definitely, would take on corse on a quiet night or early morning in spring summer try and get some numbers before playing club competitions get dialed in
