GotBot Counts Down: Top 10 Most Special Transformers in My Collection

This time I count down the top 10 Transformers in my collection that hold special value to me. There was no fan vote for this one; instead, this is a look deeper at me and what and whom I value. There is no particular order but all 10 entries stand out to me for one reason or another and all of them are connected to important people in this community and in my life.

What a great list! Dude! Every figure had true meaning for you and I completely understand how sometimes that has more to do with HOW you came about getting a figure than the character itself. I have a ROTF Dirt Boss that means a lot to me because it was the first and only time my wife picked up a transformer because she thought it was cool. I appreciate you taking the time to make the video man and I hope you and the wife feel 100% again soon.

Funnily enough, if I made a list like this, Cybertron Primus would also be towards the top. I was a kid during the Unicron Trilogy, so getting Primus from my mom during Christmas of 2006 made my eight-year-old brain do a backflip. I still have that very same Primus to this day, and, well...you know how young kids aren't always careful with their toys. Suffice it to say, my Primus could use some love. Apropos that he ended up on your list around this time--just a few days ago, I committed to getting everything I need to repair my childhood Primus. For me, that's gonna mean buying an incomplete one for parts (mine has a unique breakage issue on the shoulder pad that's gonna require me to disassemble it), and 3D print a new butt flap and missiles. I found files online that will allow me to 3D-print what I need, and it blows my mind that we live in a day and age where we can fabricate missing parts to 16-year-old toys. I can't wait to restore him to his former glory and see how he looks next to 01-Pumpkin.

Great top ten once again. That must of been easy and hard at the same time. I know just thinking about it, like half of my collection runs through my mind for sentimental or nostalgic reasons. But my G1 Jetfire, Trypticon, and Scorponok are probably my top 3 sentimental bots all from close relatives, 2 of which have passed in recent years. Then there's Cybertron Leader class Optimus Prime which my wife bought me right after we first met. It's probably the only survivor of 2 previous collection purges. But I could probably write book about this. So again, another great top ten!

Excellent countdown, for me my #1 is Titans Return Arcee because one I have always loved the Headmasters ever since they were first released in 1987 and was disappointed that Arcee was omitted, but when I heard she was finally being released I said I want her no matter how much she was going to be and to this day she is the most expensive one I bought, at 100.00 used on Ebay with both Leinad/Daniel and Ultra Magnus Titan Master.

2 of my most personally valued figures are my G1 Overlord (everywhere wanted $750+ for him complete and I found one for $488 w the box on my 19th birthday). And 2, my Haslab Unicron (never backed it initially, so my first job, I put my disposable income saving up for him and man hes a beast)

Amazing countdown my friend! Thank you for sharing all the personal stories of these 10 great gifts/finds; I can definitely understand why they're so important to you.

My top special Transformer might be G1 Galvatron. I got him at my 1st Transformers convention for 1$, cause he had no cannon, accessories, stickers ruined, and electronics rusted.
But I cleaned him up, re-stiffened his arm joints, and made a cannon from a highlighter cap and a kids party horn I kept since I was 6.

Great list, thanks for sharing your Most Special Transformers. I've only been collecting as an adult since 2019, but when I rediscovered the Fandom again I was given back my childhood Transformers collection from my Nephew who is all grown up now and has his own interests and collection. So for me the most Special Transformer in my Collection is G1Tripticon. When I saw that figure as a kid I was in awe and it was the only thing I asked for that year because I knew it was expensive and somehow my Mom managed to get it for me. The figure is mostly complete and still works. The runner up is Haslab Unicron, another figure I dreamed about as a kid and the shear size and designed fulfilled that childhood dream.

Gotbot, that was a great review for this 4th of July. You had me going down memory lane on all of my favorite ( Special Favorites ) . The one that stuck out to me the most was my G1 Jetfire/ Skyfire. I remember as a young boy back in the middle 80's my mom bought me Jetfire for Christmas. After opening him up out of the Christmas wrapping I told her "This felt like a dream. Since then Jetfire/ Skyfire has been my favorite Transformer.

My favorite most special Transformers in my entire collection is the Transformers Age of Extinction Movie the Best Armor Knight Optimus Prime. First of all, I had no idea that the figure even existed. Secondly, I received him as a 2014 Christmas present when I was in Hong Kong from my uncle who introduced me to Transformers. Third of all, I was able to honor his memory (he is still alive at the time of writing this comment) when I went to Montreal comic-con in 2016 and I had Peter Cullen himself sign it.

For me it's every original G1 toy I still have which is not many. But the ones that stand out most would be G1 Abominus. I had bought the Cutthroat figure about a week before my 10th or 11th birthday on my own and my parents didn't ask me what I wanted for my birthday until the night before it. I still had the card back for Cutthroat, so I circled the rest of the Terrorcons that were pictured on it and said "these". My parents found them all and those were my birthday presents that year. I still have them. Did a repair job on my Rippersnapper and had to replace Blot (who became my favorite, and it showed), but they are still originals. I always remember that when I handle them.

I have 2 that are my most special. Generations Metroplex and not a Transformer per say, it is the Transformers Book that came with the transformable Autobot symbol
