In this elden ring video I'm testing if any of the strongest bosses in elden ring can survive the pre release version of astel.
In case you're not aware of this astel had a different name before the release of the game and could also start the fight with the meteors while getting help from his clones during the fight.

Unironically, this is SUCH a fun fight in 1.00 because it makes Astel into something you'd unquestionably believe singlehandedly wiped out the Eternal City in Deeproot Depths immediately upon its arrival. I wish it had been kept more like this on release tbh.

Also, the Placidusax vs. Astel battle here was utterly spectacular here! A perfect match.

The really terrifying part is, some of this things moves (the waves of darkness most obviously) visibly do not work correctly and it is STILL this strong

it's quite interesting that this Astel uses the gravity field a lot more but doesn't have the waves of darkness attack

regular astel has 3 versions of waves of darkness that he loves to spam but this one doesn't really have the "waves" feature of them. it's just a slam
