I didn't get a lot out of the video as there weren't actual demonstrations, except 1, which was helpful. I've always had small dogs, which are easy to pick up. However, I'd like to know if I am picking them up incorrectly. Until I see an actual video somewhere, I'll just assume how I'm picking them up is fine. They don't complain. 😊

Can I ask a couple of questions? I got to this video as I was watching your chronic type IVDD video. My dog (medium size 52lbs) has type 1 IVDD (ie acute) and I have to carry him up and down stairs to get outside. My vet told me (admittedly a few years ago now) that I should be putting one arm behind his back legs and one arm in front of his chest and holding him level as I carry him. It seems from your video that this is wrong or is there more than 1 recommended method? Also, you mention that you shouldn't use this method for certain medical issues and I wondered if type 1 IVDD is ok (as you refer to how to lift your dog in the IVDD video). Thanks very much for sharing your knowledge. Only just discovered your channel so will have some binge watching to do :-)
