A cat appeared to enjoy the prayers of Sheikh Walid Mehsas in Algeria on Monday, as shown in a video posted by the official page of the Sheikh on Facebook.

Mehsas was praying “Taraweeh,” a nightly prayer occurring every evening during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, in Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque in the Algerian province of Bordj Bou Arreridj.

The cat wandered around the Sheikh leading the prayer, until it jumped on him. Mehsas appeared unbothered and uninterrupted.

He gave the cat a gentle caress and continued reciting the verses for the prayer. (Reuters)

The sheikh handled the cat with kindness and continued his prayer.

The imam was reciting an extract from the Quran chapter of "el Anaam" i.e. chapter of "the animals" which made the cat deeply involved in the matter. On top of that the cat kissed the imam just when he recited from the Quran an extract saying " God has the most convincing evidence..."

The cat was sending a message to all world thru the verses read by this Sheikh:
Surah Al-Anam AYAH 148-149
( 148 ) Those who associated with Allah will say, "If Allah had willed, we would not have associated [anything] and neither would our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything." Likewise did those before deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow not except assumption, and you are not but falsifying."
( 149 ) Say, "With Allah is the far-reaching argument. If He had willed, He would have guided you all."

Everyone paid attention with the cat, but few listened to the verses that the imam read and understood their meaning... A few verses that are valid for every time and place are addressed to the world and the ignorant to the believer in God and the unbeliever, as if God wanted through this cat and this sweet voice of this imam to alert people again to the need to reflect and understand the significance of these The short life... And listen to the last verse he recited (If he wished, he would have guided you all)... A verse that shows the kind of test we are in. One verse shows you, O human being, that you are still and will continue to be in conflict with yourself.
Should you repent or postpone while you know that the second may mean perishment. One verse is sufficient for all human beings, in which the Creator describes His greatness.

If you’re wondering: The Imam is reading from the Quran - Surah (Chapter) 6 “Al-An’am” (The Cattle), Ayat (Verses) 148-149:

148- The polytheists will argue, “Had Allah willed, neither we nor our forefathers would have associated others with Him (in worship i.e. practiced idolatry), nor would we have prohibited anything.” Likewise, those before them rejected the truth until they tasted Our punishment. Ask (them, O Prophet), “Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? Surely you follow nothing but conjecture, and you do nothing but lie.”

149- Say, “To Allah belongs the conclusive argument. Had He willed, He would have easily guided you all.”

Say, “Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow not except assumption, and you are not but falsifying(147) Say, “With Allah is the far-reaching argument. If He had willed, He would have guided you all.”.”...Sure Al-An'am(148)

English translation off the verse he is reciting:
Ask ˹them, O  Prophet˺, “Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? Surely you follow nothing but ˹false˺ assumptions and you do nothing but lie.”

Say, “Allah has the most conclusive argument. Had it been His Will, He would have easily imposed guidance upon all of you.”
~ You are reading the translation for the group of verses 6:148 to 6:150 surah Al-An'am~♡
