Meaning of this Painting is:

Everybody is born absolutely pure, absolutely innocent, absolutely empty. We all are born with same inner potential, everybody is entitled to be "Buddha” and can reach to the highest state of consciousness but that potential lies in everyone as a seed form.When one nourishes that seed, the seed grows into a tree, then a flowers blossom out and spreads its fragrance. When one walks on the right path is ultimately going to reach to his highest level of consciousness and realizes his ultimate nature.

The man in robes walking on the path, he is moving towards his ultimate nature, here 9 steps are depicted for representing mind limitations and qualities. First 6 steps represents the enemies of the mind
1. Lust or desire
2. Anger
3. Greed
4. Delusion
5. Arrogance or Pride
6. Jealousy or envy

When one drops all the above, next 3 steps represents the outcomes
7. Love
8. Compassion
9. Freedom

When we drop all the six negative qualities of the mind and crosses that first 6 steps, love, compassion, freedom blossoms automatically within us and one realize his ultimate nature.
