DMC5 Vergil DLC Release Date

We mentioned this early on alongside our game announcement, but never gave you a firm date or price. Well, it’s time to change that.

Our dev team has been hard at work in getting DMC5SE ready to launch the same day as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so Vergil will be arriving on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC just a few weeks after that, on December 15th, 2020 and will cost just US$4.99 / €4.99 / £3.99.

To keep you motivated, we’ll leave you with a quick reminder that Vergil will be fully playable on Story Missions, The Void, and Bloody Palace.

An Update on Ray tracing for Xbox Series X|S

We’re excited to bring Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition to Xbox Series X|S with high frame rates up to 120 fps, enhanced 3D audio, reduced loading times, the Legendary Dark Knight difficulty, Turbo Mode and playable Vergil on both consoles.

Fans playing Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition on Xbox Series X will also experience the game in 4k resolution and with Direct X Ray Tracing. Both consoles deliver amazing next generation speed and performance, and while we are just now scratching the surface of what they can do our teams are eager to continue exploring the full capabilities of Xbox Series X|S in the future.

While ray tracing will be available as a downloadable title update on Xbox Series X, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will not support ray tracing on Xbox Series S.

Idk if a lot of people would be interested but I'd definitely like a guide on how to use Vergil's trick actions bc it's kinda hard to dodge without a double jump

Something important that you didn't mention: there's a visual and audio que for when JC is charged. The Yamato's tsuba will flash and a specific sound will play (kinda like when charging beowulf) before the sheath starts sparking electricity. If you release the button *just* as that flash happens, you should get a just frame JC.

When Virgil sheathes his sword (or just before he completely does) you'll see the hilt glimmer. THATS when you release. The timing is just a bit short of the second release for the 3rd and 4th DS. Hope this helps.

For those who are struggling, pay attention to the slight flash Yamato does as Vergil is done sheathing it, that's your cue to let go of the Δ/Υ button.

After playing with it for a bit, I realized you can only ever chain 3 perfect judgement cuts. Technically you can do 4 judgement cuts, but only if the first one is a regular cut and not frame perfect. And every time you do it right he says "Jackpot".

Yeah, Vergil is saying Jackpot. We done here boys.

As far I'm aware jc can be perform perfectly with every sheath animation of Yamato, so if you see white flash that was the momento to do a perfect judgment cut

After a week of nonstop void training, I finally got the hang of it, I still haven’t mastered it yet because I am not able to get it 10/10 times during the missions. I just wanted to say thank you for the help you have provided me through this video. Thank you so much I really mean it.

For everyone else that is having a tough time, I followed the sound of when the distortion goes right as that sound goes off I release for consecutive cuts. I don’t know if it helps but so far it has helped me. Once again thank you dude for the video I really appreciate it.

Not gonna lie. I havent been able to do multiple judgment cuts even since dmc3.

After actually learning how to chain JCs in-game, the way he explained it is actually the best way to say it. Only thing that I would add is that it helps if you make the button releases as fast as possible before holding down the button again.

If you need the timing of the infinite perfect cut. Set up on google a metronome. Make the speed to 90 BPM. Realease the button on the beat and hold the button instantly after you released it again. Repeat the releasing part on every beat with the holding after and you will get the hang of it very quick.
