Omloop van Vlaanderen 2023 - SS10: Zoning 2 - all cars - 3 passes + top speed finish (raw footage)
Показать описание
The last stage from the first loop on Saturday, a 2nd run on SS Zoning (after it was driven a first time on Friday).
Recorded at the same location as last year, but this time the finish was where the start was last year. The start now was next to the public area at the podium, where it had been some years ago too. Therefore we had not 3 but 4 passes alongside the water, from which the last one at full speed to the finish!
This stage is 5.48 km long and was won by Niels Reynvoet (2, Citroën C3 Rally2) and Jos Verstappen (5, Škoda Fabia RS Rally2) who both completed in 2:45.8 (avg 119.0 km/h).
They were 0.4 seconds faster than Gunther Monnens (10, Porsche 991 GT3) who was aiming for the scratch on this stage (last year he succeeded, but now on Friday he hit a curbstone and broke a rear rim and had to retire for the day, maybe he was a little more cautious today).
4. Maxime Potty (1, Citroën C3 Rally2) +0.7
5. Bernhard ten Brinke (7, Škoda Fabia RS Rally2) +1.3
6. Pieter-Jan Michiel Cracco (15, Porsche 991 GT3) +1.8
7. Roger Hodenius (3, Škoda Fabia RS Rally2) +2.2
8. Bjorn Syx (8, Citroën C3 Rally2) +2.9
9. Thibaud Mazuin (65, Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo) +3.7
10. Tuur Vanden Abeele (66, Porsche 997 GT3) +3.9
Verstappen is still in the lead, before Reynvoet, who got a 10 second penalty for being late at the TC on SS7, and is now on +13.2.
After also Andy Lefevere had to retire after hitting something with the rear right wheel, Bjorn Syx is now 3rd on +1:02.0 (15.1 seconds before Bernhard ten Brinke).
M-Cup stage results top 5:
1. Thierry Cokelaere (24, BMW 1M Coupé) completed in 2:52.5 (P15 overall, avg 114.4 km/h)
2. Franky Boulat (21, BMW E36 M3) +1.6
3. Wouter Lievens (29, BMW E36 M3) +2.6
4. Philip Lommers (20, BMW E36 M3) +6.8
5. Lorenzo Vandenheede (30, BMW E36 M3) +7.8
Cokelaere had taken the lead back from Kurt Braeckevelt (23, BMW E36 M3) on SS8 where he dropped 14.9 seconds. Before this stage, Cokelaere was leading with 9.5 seconds. Unfortunately, as can be seen in the video, Braeckevelt had a puncture on this stage and had to change the wheel. He lost 3 minutes doing so and dropped to P5 in the M-cup.
Boulat in the meantime catched up with Lommers and is now 2nd on +21.6; Lommers is 3rd on +26.4.
In Historic, Pieter-Jan Maeyaert (17, BMW E30 M3) was the fastest again, 1.8 seconds faster than Paul Lietear (16, Opel Manta 400).
Danny Vancoillie (33, Opel Kadett GT/E) is 3rd on +19.2.
Maeyaert however already has a +54.9 seconds lead before Lietaer, Vancoillie is 3rd on +4:36.3.
