Filmed on August 2nd, 1941 by my Great Grandfather, prior to the United States formally entering the war, this very rare WWII era color footage shows part of the "1000th Tank Parade" celebrating the production of 1,000 M3 Light Tanks also known as "Stuarts" at the Berwick, Pennsylvania American Car & Foundry Company factory. Thousands of Berwick residents and those from the surrounding towns, boroughs and cities worked at this factory. Many would go on to fight overseas upon US involvement in the Second World War. This parade and it's following festivities would gain national government and media attention with CBS, NBC and other news outlets attending to document the occasion.
