I think what makes All Dogs Go to Heaven even more tragic is knowing Judith Barsi, who voiced the sweet orphan, Anne-Marie, whom Charlie takes under his wing, was murdered by her abusive father before the film was released. She was only a small child, yet she was forced into the film industry as a toddler to provide for her family, during which she and her mother were physically and mentally abused by her alcoholic father who had mental issues and she did not have a normal childhood when it came to filming either.

Definitely a few that deserved at least an honorable mention.
*Black Cauldron
* The Secret Of Nimh
*The Neverending Story
*Dark Crystal
*The Last Unicorn
*Ghostbusters
*Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom
*Poltergeist

These are some of the most iconic films in history, and they may have had their share of creepy and disturbing scenes but that's what made them interesting. even as kids these movies somewhat gave us a sense of wonderment.

How did The Secret of NIMH not make this list? That was utterly terrifying as a kid. So was the Red Bull in the Last Unicorn (not to mention Mama Fortuna!).

You mentioned that Labyrinth starred a young Jennifer Connelly, but you neglected to add that Return to Oz starred a young Fairuza Balk. Granted, Fairuza's never been "A" list like Jennifer, but she's worked pretty steadily over the years.

Agreed with all of the above! However, I would add The Dark Crystal and The Neverending Story. There's some dark imagery and overall creepiness that lingers way past childhood. Also, Little Nemo had some shocking disturbing moments.

Not so fun fact: In the original story of Pinocchio (the actual book), the talking Cricket is actually killed by the titular marionette and later comes back as a ghost. Very, very, creepy.

I’d add _Fantasia_ for “A Night on Bald Mountain” alone. Chernabog and the closest things he has to friends may have had a good time, but I’m having second thoughts about seeing that closing segment, and I’m someone who loves classical music—not just as an era, but as a genre.

Here are some more honorable mentions:

- James and the Giant Peach: Evil aunts, a giant mechanical shark, skeleton pirates, and a rhino-shaped stormy cloud... Need I say more ?
- The Last Unicorn: The Red Bull continues to haunt us in our nightmares !
- The Secret of NIMH: The Great Owl is scary, but not mean. But Dragon the Cat is scary... and mean !
- Toy Story: Sid's place is not a fun place to visit, especially if you're a toy.

‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ is still one of my 75+ most favorite Hollywood movies of all time.
‘Beetlejuice’ and ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ are also two of my personal favorite movies directed by the famous Tim Burton.

Hunchback of Notre Dame was a major one. A movie of Frollo simping over Esmerelda in the most creepy ways possible before a fate of ultimately becoming the embodiment of a demon and being plunged into a flaming city was quite a sight for small eyes.

The Childcatcher is the most terrifying villian in a children's film, that I had nightmares about him for years! 😱

The shoe going in the dip is FAR more traumatic than the judge's death. The terror of the innocent creature is just hard to take even as an adult.

For me The Dark Crystal haunted me as a kid. I enjoy those kind of movies now as an adult but the fear I felt as a child still makes it a hard watch for me.

I loved Nightmare before Christmas! Although it was a bit dark and creepy, so I don’t blame people if they get scared by it. I also saw bits of Beetlejuice and Labyrinth, and I want to finish them sometime. Great video, guys, keep up the good work!

The angry air conditioner, the clowns, and the giant magnet from the Brave Little Toaster movies were terrifying.

2:05 for some corrections Carface is Charlie’s business partner by double crossing him by sending Charlie and Itchy to the dog pound but failed. Carface manipulates by “splitting the partnership” by getting Charlie drunk at Mardi Gras inside of an abandoned float and then hit him by a car in the river docks.

I can't believe that my folks allowed me to watch "Grease" as a child. There's lots of raunchy, sexual jokes which went right over my head as a youngster.

All Dogs Go To Heaven needs a correction: Itchy was Charlie's best dog friend...Carface was Charlie's former business partner and rival. Itchy never ran Charlie over.

I would have included Pee Wee's Big Adventure on this list. I recall being scared by the Large Marge and Clown hospital dream sequence scenes when I was younger.
