Montage M | E.S.P 2.0 update

One of the standout features of MONTAGE M is its Expanded Softsynth Plugin (ESP), now updated to version 2.0. ESP offers a comprehensive virtual version of the synthesizer for use in DAW software, replicating every aspect of the MONTAGE M's powerful sound engine.

The ESP v2.0 update brings the following enhancements:
• Full editing capabilities
• Enhanced options for data synchronization & organization

Would love to see this plugin made generally available, once it is out of beta. But if not, a desktop or MU- format module with this engine would be amazing, for those without the space for a large keyboard, or who already have a master keyboard.

I wonder if all the presets can be downloaded onto the software )or if they are all there by default), if you can copy and paste the files onto another pc, if you can install samples and presets on the internet into the VST, and if you can use the VST without the Montage at all as well as update it without plugging it into the montage.

I want to use them as separate instruments. One for live, and one for recording and to use at gigs without the big montage board with a different synth as a midi controller, plus I can layer both instruments while only having a single board. If it were possible to map the live set + to a midi controller or dual foot switch for something like the Korg Nautilus at the same time.

I understand that Montage Superknob, mod wheel and pitch bend can control ESP. Is this also true of all the other controls on the montage hardware? i.e. do all the knobs, sliders and buttons control the ESP, just as they would control the Montage HW? If not, which controls do allow direct control of ESP?

I understand that you (Yamaha) always have to focus on the latest models, but the Montage (without M) would be interesting if it were not forgotten. An update for users of the original Montage wouldn't hurt either...

I have the plugin but cannot get it to play in Logic Pro x. Anybody have any suggestions? It is loading in Logic but no sound comes through. I have to play audio into logic using my montage directly which isn't horrible but it would be easier to have my montage set up somewhere else in my studio and play the montage sounds through the plugin with my Komplete Kontrol.

Waiting for a stand alone version of the software. It is a huge memory hog and will crash many good computer systems due to the number of voices and effects. I have 64 Gb Ram and an AMD Ryzen 12-core and it still bogs it down on simple patches if I play full chords. Some of the issue likely is due to overhead of the DAW, so that's why I'd like to see how it runs outside the DAW box. For studio use, I love my M8x but it is a beast to haul to gigs. I am fortunate to have a Montage 61 white that is handy for gigs, though even that is heavy when packed in a hard road case.
