Sir I think there's a mistake in the calculation of E(x^2) at 11:10 . The value you got is 1 but it is coming 0.5

Sir we engineering students are in need for the hypothesis topic of statistic because there is not a good content on youtube of that topic, so can you post your videos on that topic also. Thank you

sir i have a doubt in the question where 13 cards are drawn from the pack. here we have only calculated expected card value not the expected total score in 13 cards. please clarify. thanks

Please someone confirm to me, in the q2 part, sir had gotten the probability for single card drawn event and then calculated the expectation. But in the question it was for 13 cards drawn event, without replacement(implied in question). So I think the answer should be different for that one, right?

Sir, after changing (correcting) the value of E(X), why did you remove the square from the formula, shouldn't it be (1/2)^2- (1/2)^2...in the variance part??

Q3 ans : (root 3 -2)/4, by taking n=2 in E(X) and n=3 in E(x^2) .

Sir. Thanks for the session. It's my kind request to you to make use of analogies and proofs. That alone helps anyone to understand a problem.

Analogies helps students to get closer to the truth and feel. "Strike rate of a batsman" is a good analogy for "expectancy". If we made a stat from Mr. Sachin Tendulkar's career,

1 runs 48% of the delivaries
2 runs 12% of the delivaries
3
.
.
.
6 runs. 2% of all delivaries, and

If the question was to find the expected run from Mr. Sachin this delivary, it makes sense as to why we use the formula that way as shown in the lecture. The E(x) gives 1.5 which means the strike rate is 150 as it is calculated for 100 balls if the batsman continues with same form!! Thank you
