The GOOD part about this leak: this means that a server-EMULATOR can probably actually be written, and once the company takes its servers offline, players will still be able to play the online component.

I think if companies want to keep vacuuming up all this personal data they need to put a clause in about how if user data is hacked the company will refund each person like $1+k. We have GOT to make it so its significantly more expensive for a company to have a breech instead of investing money into security.

The current standard of, they get to make boat loads of money off our data but if its hacked they just have to say, "Sorry we got hacked, here's a year of free identity protection service." Virtually no loss to them.

The Once Human eula is industry standard, but that does not make it good. The WOW eula specifically calling out exactly how long they are going to keep the data for, AND what its used for? Thats a much better implementation. (all that being said, there is still a general problem with over-collection of data and Im glad its being brought to the forefront more and more often nowadays.)
