Skyrim had people reacting to your weapons/magic being out
the fact that a 2024 game by the same people doens't is sad

I truly expected that Bethesda game studios would look at the mods that were made for Skyrim and learn some things from them about what the players would like in Starfield. I was really really disappointed in this regard, since it's obvious that they not only don't care about what people want, but they're even cutting down the content down to the bare minimum in favor of procedural generation done poorly as well. Sad to see.

They should have started on making this a "living on your ship with your growing crew" game with most of your time spent inside your ship and actually doing stuff in /space/. Sure you could throw in some planets here and there but it shouldn't have been the main focus.

I was playing ghost recon wildlands the other day. The NPCs ran when i put out my gun, get off the car or just screams. The furniture, the lights, all react. Amazing open world...

Here is my idea on how to improve Starfield: Finally put Bethesda out of its corporate misery.

That's what made fallout 4 great, roaming around and discovering cool things. Starfield doesn't seem to have that, walking for miles on planets is the most monotonous for me.

I dipped when you dissed the mighty Freddo. For shame!

In my opinion it’s not their engine’s fault, as we can see modders can makes their game truly beautiful, from graphics texture, animation even physics in an old engine that Skyrim use. It’s them to blame for this outdated game, their laziness and less creativity. They already working under Microsoft, I believe there’s no lack in financial and human resources, it’s just pure lazy and lack of creativity

For the menus thing, I wish they'd do something like The Division. They have this little circular light on their wrist/backpack that brings up an in-world display with all the buttons and menus you need. Not to mention they are organized neatly and concisely.

I agree with everything you said. I don't see them fixing this. Even if they do, it will likely be too late.. such a shame

They don't really need to do anything because they know modders are going to just fix the whole thing for them lol

Game devs can't keep getting away with games that are worse every year when 10 years ago they had polished products for half the budget

The saddest part is that due to a lack of fundamental content, all efforts that should have been dedicated to creating a AAA story dlc with tons of new content is instead dedicated to trying to force into a broken system a fraction of the content that is lacking.

My biggest gripe is them adding NOTHING new to this game, like they did with all their other games, except display settings. That is not new content.

There are so many good games on the market that I neither have the time or the inclination to go back to Starfield. So much of the game needs overhauling that I doubt any amount of updates will give people what they were promised. I had enough fun with it but it's time for me to move on.

They should’ve just stuck to outer worlds formula if they are gonna have loading screens.

"One of the few people out there who enjoyed it at the start, but grew to dislike it over time."
uhhh.... that's not a few people. That's most people.
Us "few" people knew it was trash from the beginning.

What would be a nice game (I think). Big open world (appr. 1 galaxy, 50 star systems, each has 2-15 planets). 2 of these planets are ideally designed with different cities on them (those like in Cyberpunk), others - generated (jusr empty surface like in real life). Have many missions and the main story line of course too. One planet would be a home planet with usual towns including old arhitecture and another would be a colonised planet where everyhthing is futuristic. The world is continuous, so you can reach any part of it using continuous flight. Between these 2 planets would be a wormhole that helps you to reach them faster but you still can reach them on your own (it will take nearly 3 minutes using maximum startship speed). Also starships would use gravital engines, not fuel like in starfield for example. There would be bad gangs that you have to deal with, space fights too. Underwater bases. Near-solar vast station that will transform sun energy to planets and near-planet stations would take it and re-send to on-planet stations that will produce electricity. Those second colonised planet would be in a double-star system and would have giant moon with dust rings (so you'd see 2 stars and giant blue moon on the horizon). PLanets would have different gravity so if you land on a big planet your starship can get broken because it would crash. It would be a beautiful space landscape (spacescape?) of galaxy with different colors when being in an open space not like black background in starfield. Realistic physics
