Kody knows all the good manipulation tricks and has used them for years against his wives and children. Robyn may be even more skilled at manipulating Kody - as her "best" customer. They deserve each other. It's heartbreaking to see how little attention/love/suppert he gives Christine, Meri, Janelle or their children UNLESS he's trying to lure/manipulate them into agreeing to his wants and needs. Otherwise they pretty much don't exist to him and are an annoyance.

He did this with Meri too in Flagstaff… putting his arm around her when it’s cold etc etc. He thinks he’s a lot smarter than he actually is. The most difficult scenes for me to rewatch are the kids struggling with the moves to Vegas and Flagstaff and the moms caving to Kody about Flagstaff at the detriment of their children, Gabe and Ysabel and every scene with Robyn.

This scene with Christine is such a rotten “trick”. He also told Meri was a chance for new beginnings. Him walking on the property between Meri and Christine was painful.
It’s almost like the “I picked out the wedding dress” crap. He can’t resist revealing to the audience how ruthless he is that he lied to his wives and got away with it. He is a true abuser.

Personally, I have always seen the way Kody Manipulates the OG. I have also seen it in Robyn since the first time she walked out of her Bathroom after 'primping' and playing shy, then flirting with 'Bedroom Eyes' between both of them while drinking Hot Chocolate on their "date" when he drove 5 hours to 'Court' Robyn !

I agree 💯 those were the most difficult for me too bc his manipulation was soo obvious. Also, all the harassment Meri was given over her commitment to move. He even had Robyn and Janelle harassing her. Why? Bc he knew they’d never be able to afford Flagstaff without Meri’s income.
