A poor shoemaker has just enough leather left to make one pair of shoes. He cuts the leather out and goes to bed, ready to begin stitching in the morning. The little elves are thrilled.They no longer come back to the shoemaker’s workshop, but he now has enough money to continue making the shoes himself. He no longer has to worry about being poor and he and his wife live contentedly for the rest of their lives.
