The heat in Russia continues and with a few more days of summer remaining, I'm determined to make the most of it. Join me today for My Russian Summer - Russia is on fire.

All foreigners who live, lived or have visited Russia can agree on one thing, Russia is an amazing country. Now I’m not gonna do a pitch on how amazing it is. It is however, my adopted country and I can say one thing for sure, Russia gets ridiculously bad press!!!!

The reason I started this project was so we can honestly show what Russia is really like. This is to benefit anybody wanting to visit Russia and wants honest information. This is not Government sponsored or any sort of propaganda. On this site you will see the good and the bad.

My name is Sam Hyland. I am an Englishman living in Russia since 2004. I have been involved in a number of different projects during my time here and had lots of experiences, good and bad. As a foreigner, I understand the difficulties of moving to Russia (Not because Russia is a big, bad, scary country) because while it maybe big, it is far from scary! Russia is an exciting country and has lots to offer anyone who would like to give it a try.

When I first arrived in Russia, I had nobody to help me, so I found lots of foreign friends and spoke only English with them. They were my support network and if it wasn’t for them, then my life would have been very difficult.

Before arriving in Russia, I had no idea about what it would be like, it was a complete mystery. While I don’t want to ruin these first time experiences for you, I know that there are so many questions that you would like answering and through this channel I can do that for you.

I have had the chance to meet and become friends with some fantastic people and had some really amazing experiences. Russian people are extremely hospitable and I have been lucky enough to be invited to many Russian weddings, festivals, parties, events and so much more….

I live in the city of Vladimir (2 hours drive from Moscow) This is a provincial Russian town with a population of about 350,000. Usually when people think about Russia, they think of Moscow or St Pertersburg, While these are both amazing and fascinating places, there is far more to Russia than just these cities.

During my time here I have worked in a number of professions and have a large contact base. I can help you with all sorts of questions. About life, study, work and travel in Russia! And if I don’t know the answer to your question, then I’m sure I know somebody who can answer your question!

What do I do? How do I live here?

Right now I’m an Affiliate Marketer, so I make money online.

Though I have now passed this business to a friend as my heart was no longer in it.

I have the experience of assisting foreigners with the process of travelling to Russia and I can help assist you, just reach out to me, I will be happy to help.

Below is some ways to get in contact with me

It was also very hot here in Italy. I am from northern Italy and in my valley temperatures reached 36 degrees Celsius, terrible, but besides being hotter and hotter, we had to face a lot of fires because of a great drought. It is l such a pity that this could happen even in a national park, like the one you showed us. Anyway that swimming pool and the "Scandinavian village" were truly nice.Thank you for sharing this beautiful video.

Forest fire is a natural phenomenon. It’s natures way of regeneration by providing natural fertilizers through ashes. It occurs worldwide. Never witnessed one though😢

Какие интересные домики для пикника! And those Russian style hot tubs will be brilliant in winter. I am hungry now after seeing that delicious meal at the end.

Great video! The only place I know people get out of their cars waiting for the train (or anything) is in Alaska.

Mother nature suffering with forest fire 🔥 . Luckily some spots to cool down and relax. I like the housing compound in red and the respects that Russia has for historic memory as well 👍

Prostate problems? Make sure to get some daily pumpkin seed oil in a capsle or pure with a spoon. It works wonders.

Там Константиново не далеко, надо было тебе заехать. В прошлом году был - очень понравилось. Сделали из обычной деревни культ личности одного поэта

I learned today that Ben of Bald and Bankrupt has been booted and banned from Russia. He has yet to give the reason. I'm sure we'll find out soon. I don't think you need to worry more than you already do. For one thing, you are far more stable. I'm always praying for you, and Ben doesn't have the faith in Jesus you and I do. The video is really great!

10:58 It's not for the people, who died IN Chernobyl, it is for the people, who dealt with the aftermath of this catastophe and other accidents were radiation was involved. There were not so much people, who died there, much more died some years after due to radiation sickness. Such monuments usually commemorate bravery, courage and sacrifice of all participants, regardless if they are alive now or passed away due to any reason. I must note that there were problems with compensations from the government to these people, especially after the collapse of the Soviet Union, so they made accociations and kind of fought with their governments(they were from different republics of the former Soviet Union) for compensations in the form of pensions and social benefits. So rights of "Chernobyl liquidators" as we call them here in Russia were a hot topic for some time and after they got their social benefits these monuments started to pop up showing that government and society in general recognized their sacrifice.
11:20 no, it is not, I think it is from the 90s or early 2000s.
