I'm 74 YO, a republican and I can't remember when any winning party helped the working class as they promised. It didn't matter who won the middle class lost. Social security was before my time and yes, I receive my benefits. The ACA was good but far from perfect. The minimum wage is still woefully unlivable. Child care is out of sight. Oil companies and major manufacturers push profits over worker’s benefits. Republicans have voted consistently against the working men and women. But I keep being hopeful, maybe, this time we win. Gov Walz is the wisest choice for VP that I can recall. Blue all the way!

Here in Quebec🍁 Canada our minimum wage is now at $15.27 an hour. We have paid leave for new mothers; a guaranteed income supplement for those making $35, 000 or less. Medicare for ALL that includes dental. America is supposed to be the country of milk and honey; you need to get with the action.

The most important thing that is not being discussed is that none of this will happen without Congressional support. So supporting the state candidates is just as important as supporting the top of the ticket.

unfortunately we are a country whose average voter does not learn about policy but instead puts more measure or value on rhetoric. this is how trump became president and how he's running for office now. how much better would we all be if we put as much work into learning policy as we do with following sports for example.
