Jesus already settled this debate you worship God not some book. Faith alone is all that is necessary and evaluating the Bible with practice is necessary with Jesus concluding at the healing pools: “For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”. Simply believing in a book/story or set of laws is not enough you need to be able to apply the Bible to your life by accepting Jesus Christ. Today it feels like Christians are just like the Jews with Jesus on the Sabbath lacking understanding of why the word exists and blindly applying it without good intentions. Like the Jews it’s wrong and hypocritical to point at the Bible for all Christianity when you lack ritual, prayer, and action that only exist outside it. The Bible is important but not infallible and is a stepping stone to the true end goal: accepting Jesus Christ in your soul.

The Bible doesn’t tell you to not jump off a cliff, but obviously God wouldn’t iwant that. If the Bible is the Word of God, then it’s the only thing infallible and should be authority on all things.

the bible up to Jesus is what God asked of the people in that time, after Jesus the bible switched to Pure Word of Jesus saying that "With me you will be saved and shall not perish if you believe" because god knew the word of God will be spread and changed for cultures like islam and Judaism. Look I'm not Catholic I also would like to say that I'm not Protestant however since I guess if you're not Catholic you're technically Protestant or Eastern Orthodox but I don't consider myself any of them for very good reasons right now. And I'd be weary of saying that the Eastern Orthodox have it wrong, but I do feel as if Protestants have more wrong about what they claim to know. I've done a lot of reading, and i personally Believe Mary was, and remained a virgin her entire life. However my fellow Protestants will not listen 👂. I feel like the prophet Isaiah in chapter one. (Ironically that's my actual name) They ask me "do you think God would allow corruption in the Bible?? I said " the church of ladder day saints just released a pirate Bible that says Jesus sailed the seven seas 😐😐😐😐" again I'm not picking sides as of yet. I'm doing all the research i can, and I'm following God to the best of my knowledge, ability, and heart. I pray to the Father, and ask that the holy Spirit teaches me, and comforts me in my journey to find truth. In Jesus name Amen 🙏
