The UK would be less secure with Sir Keir Starmer in 10 Downing Street, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak warned in a speech today.

In their first ever episode of The Daily T, Kamal Ahmed and Camilla Tominey are joined by Telegraph Political Editor Ben Riley-Smith to discuss Mr Sunak’s pitch on national security and why it’s quite hard to weaponise the threat of a “grey, sincere bloke” - Mr Starmer.

Plus, is it safe to have a baby in the UK? And was Prince Harry and Meghan’s visit to Nigeria a triumph - or a flop?

In what world is Sunak better at leading on the world stage? He literally had to beg Cameron to come and look after the foreign affairs because he was completely incapable.

Sunak knows we are at war with Russia but isn’t allowed to say it yet

A 3 day old blancmange of a speech. What was that? If this is how he fights the election, the Tories will be lucky to keep a single seat.

The International stage is the problem, we need our country back out of the hands of global governance

I think Camilla is out of touch there, when talking abt Harry & Megan. She forgets how they trashed the royal family, her late majesty and the UK & Commonwealth.

i don't know how he managed it, he made the speech low energy but dark? to be honest he sounded like a fascist!

The only boot is the one that Sunak’s derrière will feel when him & his corrupt government are kicked out.

First and final curious visit to this channel. After noticing a near full-page photo of a bare-shouldered, laughing Meghan Markle in Saturday's Telegraph I am through with a once-favoured newspaper. If I'd had a subscription I would have cancelled it. I hereby register my anger. The Markles get way too much publicity. Pretty frock on Camilla though.

All fine, bit skip the Prince Harry stuff, frankly who cares.

Why concentrate solely on the report on maternity care instead of widening the discussion to include the root cause of the problem - successive governments?!?!

Could have completed all of that when he became prime minister.

Oh look, another reboot telling us Labour would be worse and they have no plan. I honestly don't know how he keeps a straight face. I nearly fell off the chair laughing. He's either deluded or has an inability to read a room. What an absolute farce he and his party have become.
