We see that this video has been getting views lately, just wanted to say that hating on the CGI and the blur is useless. There is nothing you can do but accept it.

Now let's move on and appreciate the quality improvement of the second part of the season!

The blur effects is good at war because of the smoke. But sometimes they used them a lil' but too much.

The "Before version" just looks like other animes but the "after" is definitely specific to SNK

The blur gives a cinematic feeling but they should tone it down and should not be use too often. Better if they just improve the lighting effects

I see a lot of comments about the "blur" being used too much, to you i say: look closer.
It's not just blur, it's also color overlays, bloom effect, cel shading, DOF, light trails, shadow overlays, blood overlays, dust overlay.
It's not just "blur everything", it's a combination of many complicated things that makes the MAPPA "signature". It fits well with their CGI too...sometimes.
And about WIT vs MAPPA, its like green apples vs red apples. They're both apples, different taste for different people.

For me the blur makes it look like something you'll see in a historical movie about ww2.
The blur makes it scarier.. and real..
just like war.
I think Mappa wants to show that they ain't fighting fictional man eating monsters anymore,
they're fighting a nation.

The blur was good most of the time but sometimes it comes at the expense of good colouring and a lot of detail.

I really like the blur actually it makes it feel so drastically different from the earlier seasons and i feel like it makes season 4 feel like it’s own thing both look great though

Without the blur it just looks like a standard anime. The blur makes it unique and gives aot even more presence as its own entity onto itself
